The Spurs suffered another frustrating defeat at the Molineux Stadium.

Wolves defeated Tottenham 2-1 in their Premier League game on Saturday. An extra-time comeback saw Wolves punish Ange Postecoglou’s men.

What happened?

Tottenham stunned their opponents with an early goal as Brennan Johnson found the back of the net in the third minute. The English winger completed Pedro Porro’s perfect low cross to make it 1-0 for the Spurs.

Despite their strong start, however, Tottenham ran out of steam as the first half went on. Wolves managed to create a few dangerous chances but failed to get back into the game.

After the break, the hosts put Tottenham under even more pressure, with Toti Gomez and Hwang Hee-chan missing two more golden opportunities to score the equalizer.

Tottenham’s failed attempts to double their lead in the final 20 minutes kept Wolves in the game as they looked for a breakthrough. The hosts, however, had to wait until the 91st minute to finally make it 1-1 through Pablo Sarabia.

Wolves kept on pushing for the match-winner until the final minute, finally snatching their second goal of the night just before the full-time whistle. Mario Lemina converted Sarabia’s perfect through ball with a clever finish to win the game for Wolves.
