The Citizens are eager to bounce back after surprising defeats in the Carabao Cup and the Premier League.
The mood is “not the best” at Manchester City after consecutive defeats against Newcastle and Wolves, according to Ruben Dias.
City were knocked out of the Carabao Cup after a narrow defeat against Newcastle last Wednesday. Pep Guardiola’s men then suffered their first Premier League loss of the season at Molineux. The treble winners look to return to winning ways when they meet RB Leipzig in a Champions League game on Wednesday.
Asked by TNT Sports about the dressing-room atmosphere at City, Dias said: “It’s intense. Obviously, it doesn’t happen all the time, which is a very good sign. But at the same time, it’s intense because when it happens, we feel it a lot, and everybody here hates to lose.
“The mood obviously is not the best, which is good in my opinion. But everyone is very experience by now and we’re glad our platform allows us to have a new game after two or three days, and probably that’s one of the good things in football.”
Four days after their match against Leipzig, City will travel to London where they take on Arsenal in a crucial Premier League game this weekend.
