Liverpool defeated Aston Villa 3-0 in their Premier League match on Saturday. A solid attacking display ensured the Reds’ third victory of the season.

What Happened?

Liverpool stunned the visitors with an early goal as Dominik Szoboszlai scored his first goal for the club.

Following a corner from Trent Alexander-Arnold, the Hungarian striker unleashed a spectacular strike from the edge of the box to make it 1-0 for the hosts.

Villa made a few attempts to get back into the game, but the Reds doubled their lead in the 22nd minute. An own goal from Matty Cash saw the Reds end the first period with a 2-0 win.

Liverpool restarted their attacks as soon as the second period started. Another corner from Alexander-Arnold saw Darwin Nunez glance the ball across the six-yard box, where Mohamed Salah provided the finishing nod.

The Reds held on to their three-goal lead, claiming their first clean sheet of the season.

Alexander-Arnold made a perfect display for the Reds as they defeated Villa 3-0. He was involved in two goals while providing solid defensive cover, limiting Ollie Watkins’ movements on the left-hand side of Villa’s attacking setup.
