The former Barcelona winger stars a new chapter in his career this season.
Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed Ousmane Dembele will become their new No.10.
The French giants signed Dembele by activating his €50m release clause earlier this summer. Following Neymar’s move to Al Hilal, the club have confirmed Dembele’s jersey number.
The former Barcelona star originally chose the No.26 shirt after his unveiling at Parc des Princes. But he will make his PSG debut with the club’s iconic No.10 jersey.
Before Dembele, the likes of Jay-Jay Okocha, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ronaldinho and Neymar have worn the jersey. It’s a new shirt number for the Frenchman, who used No.10 jerseys in both Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona.
Exit rumours around Kylian Mbappe intensified speculations about the candidates to take on No.7. But the Real Madrid-linked superstar has returned to PSG’s training sessions after negotiations with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
When will Dembele make his PSG debut?
Dembele is set to make his PSG debut in a Ligue 1 match against Toulouse on Saturday. The Parisians come into the game after an underwhelming goalless draw against Lorient in their season opener last weekend.
Dembele is set to start on the left-hand side of PSG’s attacking line as Mbappe also returns to action for the Parisians. Let’s see if Luis Enrique’s men can snatch their first victory of the new season at Stadium de Toulouse.
