The Dutch midfielder has struggled to get playing time since joining Bayern Munich last year.

Ryan Gravenberch is reportedly keen to join Manchester United despite Liverpool’s interest in signing him.

Bayern Munich signed Gravenberch on a €18.5m deal from Ajax last summer. However, the Dutchman has struggled to find his place in Bayern’s crowded midfield line.

The arrival of Konrad Laimer in the summer transfer window could further limit Gravenberch’s playing chances this season. Liverpool seem to have revived their interest in signing the 21-year-old in recent days.

However, Foot Mercato claims Gravenberch prefers to join Man Utd. According to the French outlet, both United and Liverpool have “reactivated” their efforts to sign the young midfielder.

Last season, Gravenberch made only three Bundesliga starts for Bayern as they claimed their 11th consecutive league title. He then went on to make a host of impressive appearances for Netherland in the U21 European Championship.

Most observers expected Liverpool to have a busy transfer window after their underwhelming 2023-24 campaign. But the Reds have so far signed only two players, with their top target Moises Caicedo ending up joining Chelsea.

Man Utd, on the other hand, have mostly completed their business in the transfer window. Having signed the likes of Andre Onana and Mason Mount, United could look to increase their squad depth by recruiting Gravenberch.
