Man Utd are still on the hunt for a treble ahead of a grueling stretch of games, having won the Carabao Cup earlier this season.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag won’t prioritize any game over the other, insisting a club of this stature must win every time.

Sunday’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest moved United up to third in the Premier League. They are six points above the fifth-placed Tottenham, who have played one more game.

The Forest match was sandwiched across a two-legged Europa League quarter-final with Sevilla. United also have an FA Cup semi-final against Brighton this coming Sunday.

“We approach this game by game, what can we do?” Ten Hag said at City Ground. “We have to win. We are United, we have to win every game.”

“The points are getting more expensive at this period of the season, because they are all finals, they are really battling against relegation, they are giving their lives and this is every opponent, or they go for the top, so you have to really fight and battle for every point.”

Ten Hag took Sabitzer off as a precaution

Man Utd played Forest without forward Marcus Rashford, defenders Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez, and midfielder Marcel Sabitzer – who suffered a groin in the warm-up to the game.

“Sabitzer came off in the warm-up, he felt something,” Ten Hag explained.

“We decided not to take the risk, we will find out [Monday] what it is. But when you have [Christian] Eriksen on the bench, it is definitely not a disadvantage.”

United will now head to Spain to play Sevilla in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie, with the aggregate score level at 2-2.
