The former Liverpool striker was impressed with Arsenal’s dominant victory over Crystal Palace and singled out one star for special praise.
Arsenal defender Ben White is an ‘underrated player’, according to Michael Owen.
Despite his omission from the England squad for the international break, White impressed in the club’s 4-1 win against Crystal Palace on Sunday, with the right-back setting Bukayo Saka up for their second goal.
“That partnership [between White and Saka on the wing] was particularly impressive,” Owen told Premier League Productions.
“That combination play is very important for Arsenal. Ben White gets forward, links the play, and has the pace to get back when he needs to.
“There was a lovely moment towards the end of the game where he made a tackle and was celebrating. I feel he’s a bit of an underrated player for Arsenal at the moment.”
White has played in all 28 of Arsenal’s Premier League games this season as a right-back, managing one goal and three assists.
Mikel Arteta’s side will play Leeds United next at home on April 1 after the international break.
