Marcus Rashford has built on his newly-found form since the start of England’s World Cup campaign.
Louis Saha believes Marcus Rashford should start for England in their upcoming match against France in the World Cup.
Rashford has received praise for his improved form since the start of the new football season. He has proved his worth in England’s squad so far in the world Cup. But Southgate has mainly played him as a substitute.
“I really like Marcus Rashford, you know he can be a starter, he’s such a talent and threat,” said Saha (via The Mirror).
“When Rashford has the eye of the tiger, he’s unplayable and at the same level as Mbappe.
I love Harry Kane, but Rashford is just a humongous talent and I love to see him at this level.
“Kane is the best player, but Rashford is my favourite player in the England squad because of his style and I really enjoy watching him play.
“Rashford is more complete, but it does not mean he fits well in every game plan.”
Rashford scored twice in his fantastic performance for England in their final group-stage match. He then started the Three Lions’ last-16 win over Senegal on the bench but came in five minutes past the hour-mark.
