The Frenchman missed Real Madrid’s last training before the game.

Carlo Ancelotti has refused to rule out Karim Benzema for Real Madrid’s upcoming La Liga game against Getafe.

Benzema missed Real Madrid’s last three games before the international break with a knee injury. He came back in his side’s 1-1 draw against Osasuna, missing a crucial penalty for the Blancos.

Ancelotti admits the star striker is ‘a bit tired’ but says he might still play in the upcoming match.

“Benzema has played two full games after being out for a month, he’s a bit tired,” Ancelotti said.

“He’s not ruled out. If he’s fine tomorrow, he can play. I see the usual Karim, we don’t have to worry.

“It may be that he rests in Getafe, we’ll see, we don’t want to force anything.”

Benzema has failed to register a goal contribution in Real Madrid’s last two games. But Ancelotti is not worried about the Frenchman’s current form.

“He put in a team performance and was a presence in the penalty area,” Ancelotti said about his side’s 2-1 win over Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday.

“He didn’t get on the scoresheet, but that’s the last thing we’re focusing on. His condition has improved a lot and he put in a complete performance.”
