The Red Devils have reached an agreement to sign the Real Madrid star on a €70m deal.
Manchester United have completed the signing of Casemiro from Real Madrid.
Following a rocky start to the new season, United hope to fortify their midfield line by adding Casemiro to their ranks.
Having ended his glorious nine-year spell at Santiago Bernabeu, the Brazil international will arrive in Manchester to undergo his medical in the coming days.
An official statement from Man Utd reads: “Manchester United is delighted to announce that the club has reached agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of Casemiro.
“The transfer is subject to the agreement of personal terms, UK visa requirements and a medical.
“Casemiro has played over 500 professional games, including 63 at international level for his native Brazil. He has won 17 major honours in his illustrious career including five Champions League titles and the Copa America. We all look forward to welcoming Casemiro to Old Trafford.”
According to 90min, Man Utd will pay a €60m fee for Casemiro plus another €10m in add-ons. The former Porto star will sign a four-year deal at the club, earning around £400,000 per week.
Casemiro’s transfer comes after United’s unsuccessful attempts to sign Adrien Rabiot and Frenkie de Jong.
United have ruled out a move for Rabiot due to his wage demands. However, it’s not clear whether the Red Devils will stop their pursuit of De Jong after Casemiro’s arrival.
