Various reports have suggested the Argentine coach is on borrowed time at the Parisian club.
Mauricio Pochettino has urged the Paris Saint-Germain board to back him in the same way Manchester City do with Pep Guardiola.
Despite leading the club to three trophies in his one and a half years in the dugout, two failed attempts to win the Champions League – the prize PSG crave the most – have sparked doubts over Pochettino’s future.
Reports have linked former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane and AS Roma coach Jose Mourinho as potential replacements for the under-fire PSG manager.
“I have one year left on my contract and there are a lot of rumors. Every week I am fired,” Pochettino told Esport3.
“PSG arouses this kind of thing. The club is trying to reinvent itself. The president will soon explain his new project, but I’m calm.”
Paris Saint-Germain are oriented to sacking Mauricio Pochettino in the coming days. One more meeting is needed to make official decision – it will take place once Nasser Al Khelaifi's back. 🚨🇦🇷 #PSG

Should PSG take a leaf out of Man City’s book?
Pochettino feels the best way forward would be for PSG to give him an ‘opportunity to build’, similar to what Manchester City have done with their manager of six years, Pep Guardiola, despite the lack of Champions League success.
“You have to give value to the championship and the cup [in Paris]. The Champions League is a competition that has very few games,” the former Tottenham coach added.
“There are things that I don’t understand. The storm started after Real Madrid eliminated us. We won the league, like other coaches like [Laurent] Blanc or [Carlo] Ancelotti did.
“I like City because they gave Guardiola the opportunity to build. They gave him time. At PSG, you also need that. By giving serenity to this project, we will be close to winning the Champions League.”
