The Reds boss has provided a team update before the Champions League semi-finals.
Jurgen Klopp is not sure whether he will have Roberto Firmino available for his side’s upcoming Champions League battle against Villarreal.
The Reds have enjoyed having an almost full squad in recent weeks. However, they might have to play without one of their best forwards on Wednesday.
“I don’t think [he is ready] yet,” the German boss said ahead of the semi-final tie.
“He is running outside and that’s good, obviously, but I am not sure.”
Firmino picked up an injury during Liverpool’s win over Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals.
The Brazilian forward missed the Reds’ match against Everton earlier this week, with Divock Origi coming off the bench to score for Klopp’s side.
The Liverpool manager added: “Maybe somebody will surprise me afterwards and tell me, ‘Yes, Bobby is in.’ [I will have] open arms, but I don’t think so.
“Apart from that, no [new injuries] that I know yet.”
Luis Diaz will most likely return to Liverpool’s lineup for the Villarreal game. The Reds will then have Divock Origi and Diogo Jota available as their reserve forwards. Let’s see if the Reds can end Villarreal’s Cinderella run in the tournament.
