After a tough start to life in Germany, Ilaix Moriba has returned to Spain on loan at the six-time LaLiga champions.
Valencia have confirmed the signing of RB Leipzig midfielder Ilaix Moriba on loan until the end of the season.
Almost seven months since leaving Barcelona in a €16 million deal to Leipzig last summer, Moriba is back in LaLiga.
The 19-year-old struggled to make his mark in Germany. He made only six appearances for Leipzig in all competitions, playing just twice in the Bundesliga. Therefore, in order to get more regular game time, he will spend the rest of this season on loan at the Mestalla.

Midfielder delighted to join Valencia
The Guinea international, who will wear the No.23 jersey at Valencia, spoke about his new club shortly after his presentation.
“I wanted to be here,” Moriba told the club’s website. “I thank God and the president for everything he has done and to everyone who made it possible for me to be here.”
“I always give everything on the pitch. Whenever I play, I try to give my best to my team and manager. We’ll try to make the fans happy and put Valencia back where it deserves to be.”
Moriba will probably serve as a replacement for Daniel Wass, who left Valencia for La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid on Thursday.
The former Barcelona youngster becomes the club’s third signing in January after defender Eray Comert and goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
