CR801: Football world reacts to Ronaldo’s historic career landmark

Several figures around the football world congratulated Cristiano Ronaldo after his latest incredible career achievement.

The stats don’t lie, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored an insane 801 goals in 1,097 games for club and country.

The Portuguese ace became the first player in football history to score 800 career goals at the highest level by hitting a brace for Manchester United in a 3-2 win over Arsenal on Thursday.

In doing so, Ronaldo further etched his name into the history books and got a load of tributes from past legends to current stars.

The former defender even made a jibe at recent suggestions that Ronaldo’s lack of pressing in games was the problem.

The Premier League’s all-time top scorer paid tribute to CR7’s determination over the years on TV and also congratulated him on social media.

The Arsenal legend, a player many English fans rate as the Premier League’s greatest player of all time, made a big confession.
