Joan Laporta has complete trust in Barcelona as they will go up against Bayern Munich in a must-win game of the Champions League.
Joan Laporta is pretty sure that Barcelona are going to shock the world by defeating Bayern Munich in the Champions League final group stage game on December 8.
The Catalan club could still have the opportunity to compete in the knockout stage of the European tournament.
However, they will have to go past Bayern regardless of the result of the other fixture, i.e. Benfica vs Dynamo Kyiv.
And Laporta is of the opinion that since Xavi’s arrival at Camp Nou, their opponents have shown more respect towards the club.
The Blaugrana president told AS: “Beating Bayern is something that can be achieved. There is going to be a miracle, I am convinced that we are going to win.”
“Xavi is very motivated and very strong. I hope everything goes well for us. I think that at the moment Xavi’s arrival has generated a little respect from our opponents. They know we can do it again.”
