Benfica bagged a crucial point as Barcelona failed to deliver at Camp Nou.

Barcelona were held to a 0-0 draw against Benfica in their Champions League game on Tuesday. The Catalans now face a serious threat of elimination ahead of their final game against Bayern Munich.

A 0-0 thriller!

The game started with a slow tempo in the first half. Barcelona had a few chances of scoring in the first half, but they found no luck in breaking the deadlock.

However, the game changed completely in the second half. Barcelona intensified their attacks on Benfica’s goal while their opponents were trying to create counter-attacks. Benfica got close to scoring the opener several times, but a few unlucky misses prevented them from winning the game.

Xavi Hernandez’s side have a long way ahead of them to reach top form. A draw against Bayern will not be enough for Barcelona if Benfica defeat Dynamo Kyiv on the last matchday. The Catalans are now second on the Group E table with seven points from their five matches.
