The Gunners skipper opened up about how the team has evolved in the past month after securing a fourth consecutive victory.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed a squad meeting led to a turning point in form following Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Tottenham.
Mikel Arteta’s side made it four wins in a row on Sunday evening against Tottenham. A scintillating first-half display saw Emile Smith-Rowe, Aubameyang, and Bukayo Saka’s goals hand Arsenal a three-goal lead. Son Heung-min pulled one back for Spurs in the 79th-minute, but the hosts held on to claim bragging rights in north London.
The display, particularly in the opening 45 minutes, was the complete opposite to the club’s 5-0 thrashing to Manchester City on August 28.
Losing by such a margin is always hard to take. In Arsenal’s case, though, it was a painful one. It condemned the Gunners to their worst start in a Premier League season, left them bottom of the standings, aroused talk of a relegation scrap, and fueled more doubts on manager Arteta’s future.
Almost a month later, however, Arsenal are back in the top-10 and on a four-match winning run across all competitions.

“I think we are doing a good run of games now,” Aubameyang told Sky Sports. “I think after the game against City it was time to have a chat between us players and this is what we did.
“We want to go forward and win games. This was important for us to make things clear and I think we are doing well right now and the feeling is good.”
On what the Spurs win meant to Arsenal and the fans, Aubameyang added: “It means everything, it means the world, we gave everything for them today, they pushed us, I can’t describe it, it’s an amazing feeling when you are a player and have fans like this, it’s really unbelievable.”
Arsenal return to action this Saturday away to Brighton for their next Premier League match.
