Even though he desperately needs vacations, Pedri will still remain as one of Ronald Koeman’s most important players this season.

After a total of 73 matches played this season with virtually no resting periods, Pedri Gonzalez returned to keep training under Ronald Koeman’s watch. Lionel Messi’s painful departure left a gaping hole within the FC Barcelona squad. But Pedri is one of the players who are considered vital to the club’s immediate survival. If they want to remain relevant this season, Pedri is one of the key components due to his predisposition for the association. As soon as he arrived, the club initially proposed he took a week’s worth of resting but the youngster refused.

He knows how pressing the current situation is with all the new transfers unable to register yet. Koeman asked him to hold the line a little longer and his rest will come during September’s international break. For now, Pedri seems like he is going to play against Real Sociedad on Sunday because Koeman doesn’t have many options to choose from. Moreover, Pedri will need to be essential if the new transfers don’t get registered before Sunday.

Pedri and Eric returned today.

After getting a Silver Medal in the Summer Olympics with Spain, both Pedri and Eric Garcia took a couple days of rest. After that, they returned to training today looking fresh and ready to start the new season. But don’t get us wrong, any player getting 73 games in a single season is wild despite his age. Pedri will need at least a full week of rest when the time comes.

But for now, he will have to remain cautious during the official matches he plays. This is the limit for any footballer because he can easily pick up a muscular injury due to an excess in activity. If everything goes well from now until the next international break. This youngster will get some time to enjoy a few holidays at the beach and with his family. Youth is a privilege that very few have the chance to fully enjoy and Pedri should never underestimate that.
