The new contract will see the German midfielder’s wages get doubled, making him Bayern’s second-highest earner after Robert Lewandowski.

One of the best in the world in his position, Kimmich’s current deal is due to expire in 2023, and tying him down has been one of the biggest priorities for the Bundesliga champions.

Real Madrid ready to offload Isco

Real Madrid are looking to cash in on Isco this summer, with the player having entered the final 12 months of his contract.

Los Blancos demand €18 million for the Spanish midfielder, who has been linked with a transfer to AC Milan.

Milan, however, would find it difficult to match the wage demands of the 29-year-old, who currently makes €6.5 million per year. [Calcio Mercato]

Shaqiri on Lazio shortlist

Lazio are keen on adding attacking firepower to their ranks, and Xherdan Shaqiri is one of the three names on their shortlist.

The Switzerland international is also in search of pastures new and wants a transfer away from Liverpool with the intention of getting regular game time.

Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic and Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi are the other two options for Lazio, but Shaqiri is the preferred option due to the fact that the Serie A side don’t have a non-European Union slot available in the squad. [Corriere dello Sport]
