Let’s take a closer look at the latest information regarding Raphael Varane’s transfer deal with Manchester United.

As claimed by Goal, Raphael Varane has an agreement with Manchester United over a contract until 2026. However, there has been no official treaty between Real Madrid and the Red Devils. Apparently, United have still not made an official bid for the Frenchman and are continuing to stretch it as much as possible. But on the other hand, the Spanish giants have put forward that Varane will leave soon.

This situation puts the ones at Old Trafford in the driving seat as they can control the negotiations further. Although, the overall signs indicate a prolonged version of transfer. Because the Madrid star is willing to wait until the matter is resolved, but he also seeks a new adventure having spent 10 years with Blancos. Varane’s agreement with Real will expire in 2022, and the club will look to gain a transfer fee for the defender sooner or later.

Will this deal go through?

Fundamentally, the centre-back has an agreement with the Premier League club for a five-year deal. Though, he has not asked to leave Santiago Bernabeu yet and wants both clubs to decide what happens with his future. However, if he manages to move to United, there will be a substantial amount of increase in his wages. At the moment, Varane earns €6 million annually at Real Madrid.

Since there has been a huge hindrance, his transfer does not seem to happen anytime soon. And Varane will return to duty with the La Liga side at Valdebebas training ground on July 23. It will be a major upset for Madrid if they lose the 28-year-old defender following captain Sergio Ramos’ departure to Paris Saint-Germain earlier. On the other side though, United supporters will hope to see this signing come to attainment.
