Robert Lewandowski’s wife had her say on the possibility of the Bayern Munich striker playing for Real Madrid one day.
Robert Lewandowski’s wife, Anna, refused to rule out the possibility of her husband playing for Real Madrid in La Liga and added ‘we like this league’.
The 32-year-old had another terrific campaign for Bayern Munich, scoring 48 goals in just 40 games across all competitions. He also smashed Gerd Muller’s 49-year-old record of 40 goals in a single Bundesliga season by scoring 41 times.
Reports have surfaced recently, though, claiming Lewandowski may seek a change of scene. The Pole would allegedly welcome a chance to experience another league and culture. Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Manchester United have been linked with moves.

But when asked if her husband wants to play in Spain, Anna remained coy and told Spanish broadcaster La Sexta: “We’ll see, we’ll see. Maybe.”
Questioned on whether Real Madrid could be an option, she replied: “Maybe. I don’t know. But we like this league.”
Anna spoke before Poland’s Euro 2020 match against Spain on Saturday in Seville. Lewandowski was on target in the match to cancel out Alvaro Morata’s opening goal to salvage a 1-1 draw for the visitors.
The former Borussia Dortmund star is under contract at Bayern until 2023 and the club’s president, Herbert Hainer, has recently played down rumors of an exit.
