World Cup winner Petit has warned Mbappe of the risk of being ‘Neymarised’ by his PSG teammate Neymar.
Emmanuel Petit believes Neymar is ‘the problem and the solution’ for Paris Saint-Germain, but the Brazilian’s influence inside the dressing worries him, especially with Kylian Mbappe.
Neymar made headlines again over the weekend upon getting dismissed in PSG’s 1-0 defeat to Lille. After the match, he had a bust-up with Tiago Djalo and drew criticism from all quarters for his disrespectful and immature behavior.
Now French World Cup winner Petit has joined the 29-year-old’s growing lists of critics and revealed he could be a negative influence on Mbappe.

“Neymar is both the problem and the solution,” the former Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea midfielder told RMC.
“When you don’t learn from your mistakes – he’ll be 30 soon – it’s because you’ve been a kid all your life and everyone around you is turning a blind eye to your behavior.
“He still hasn’t won the Ballon d’Or yet. He was predicted to be the successor to Messi and (Cristiano) Ronaldo, but he’s still not got it and he’s close to turning 30.”
Petit added: “Since leaving Barcelona, his record has been extremely mixed.
“I have the impression that Neymar has an influence on the PSG dressing room, some players are being ‘Neymarised’, starting with Mbappe.”
