During a recent interview, Joshua Kimmich lifted the lid on Bayern Munich’s ambitious plan to follow Real Madrid’s example in Europe.

Joshua Kimmich is part of a Bayern Munich generation that can easily overtake the previous ones by copying Real Madrid’s model. To those who live under a rock, Los Blancos were part of an incredible era in which they won four out of five consecutive years in the Champions League. With their success from last season as the second club to win six titles in a season. Bayern is already aiming for more success.

They do seem quite unplayable this season as well, but they will have to overcome the most difficult obstacles if they want to win again. First, they will have to defeat PSG in a revenge match from the previous final. But the most important task will come in a potential semifinal that will rock the entire continent. If they beat the French. Bayern will have to play against the winner from Borussia Dortmund vs Manchester City’s quarterfinal stage inside the bracket.

Kimmich wants to create a new dynasty.

If Bayern Munich gets past these obstacles on their side of the bracket. Chances are they will win the current Champions League with no real opposition for the second straight season. If this scenario seems familiar to you, it is because Real Madrid was in a similar situation just a few years ago with Zidane as the manager. Kimmich didn’t hide his desire to emulate what Real Madrid did, maybe even improve upon it.

In an interview with Bild, this is what Kimmich said: “Real Madrid is our role model to follow. They won four trophies in five years. That hunger and will to win is our main target. We have the potential to remain competitive for the Champions League title every year. However, winning with the fans in the stadium would be even more valuable and exciting.”
