Ronaldo has come under fire for another early Champions League exit and has now been told to apologize to the Juventus fans.
Cristiano Ronaldo owes the Juventus fans an explanation and apology for his role in the Champions League defeat to Porto, says Alessio Tacchinardi.
The Bianconeri crashed out of the last-16 stage in Europe on Tuesday on an away goal ruling after finishing 4-4 on aggregate with Porto, despite winning the second leg 3-2 in Turin after extra-time.
Another failure to progress in the knockout stages, let alone win the competition, has left Ronaldo in the firing line. Critics have slammed him for his performance and turning his back on Sergio Oliveira’s decisive free-kick.

“He (Ronaldo) was rested in last weekend’s game against Lazio, so what was he doing against Porto?” Tacchinardi, who won the Champions League with Juventus in 1996, told TMW Radio.
“Federico Chiesa went to talk on TV, but I would have expected Ronaldo to do so. He has to make an apology to the supporters.”
As for the team’s performance in general, Tacchinardi added: “For a test this important, they should have prepared in a different way.
“I don’t understand why they approached it the way they did after losing the first leg.
“They had the opportunity to attack Porto early on, but did no such thing. They totally missed the opportunity [to progress].”
