Allianz Stadium in Turin was the place where Juventus got a visit from FC Porto in the Champions League. We got player ratings.

Juventus had a nearly impossible task to complete tonight against Porto at Allianz Stadium. They needed to come back from an adverse result during the first-leg at Do Dragao Stadium and Cristiano Ronaldo had all the pressure on his shoulders. However, the Portuguese star was leaving signs of his disappointment with his teammates. Exactly 17 years ago today, a young Cristiano was eliminated by Porto in the Champions League. Today, he missed his opportunity to get revenge from that against a modest FC Porto squad.

Oliveira scored the opening goal early in the game after a penalty was awarded for his side’s favor. After this moment, Juventus began to play as if they were in a hurry with many minutes still left to play. As the players went to the dressing room for the break, you could see a fuming Ronaldo who knew the result was slipping through his fingers. Fortunately, Juventus had an acceptable reaction during the first half but no thanks to Ronaldo.

Chiesa scored twice but Juventus bottles it.

After the break, Cristiano’s only contribution to the game was an assist for Chiesa’s first goal of the evening. That was about everything he did to help the Bianconeri tonight, those are the facts. The Italian forward scored the second goal after Porto’s Mehdi was sent-off and left his side with 10 players. With this result, the game took us to a thrilling extra time that left the entire world at the edge of their seats for 30 minutes.

Oliveira was the man who scored the second Porto goal from a set-piece that forced Juventus to score two goals. Even though Rabiot pulled one back for Juventus, there was no time left for a reaction. Cristiano got eliminated from the Champions League in the Round of 16 for the second time since he arrived in Italy. We all wonder if he wants to continue playing in Serie A next season or not. It might be time for him to start looking for more fortune elsewhere. Kudos to Pepe for an incredible defensive performance, he’s tonight’s MVP without question.
