We go through the many times Erling Haaland hinted at his predilection for Real Madrid and his most recent statement about his future.

Erling Haaland is currently riding a wave that he is thoroughly enjoying at Borussia Dortmund with constant links to clubs such as Real Madrid. While there are many clubs that could be after his transfer, Spain is a place that appeals to him too much. There’s a very interesting video of the youngster stepping on the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium before the match against Sevilla. In that reel, he seems quite please by the experience and later confirmed it by scoring a brace with an assist.

After the match, he was harassed by the media without letting him take a break but the kid behaves like a pro. He constantly winks at reporters and gives them nuggets of information. Given that Borussia Dortmund is not doing great in the Bundesliga, there’s a big chance he will leave the club if they don’t qualify to the UEFA Champions League next season.

Haaland likes Spain.

Unless Borussia Dortmund wins this season’s Champions League, both he and Sancho will most likely leave Germany. Initially, we believed the Norwegian striker wanted to play in England due to his father’s past in the Premier League. However, it appears the young star has his sights set on Spanish football. Only two clubs come to mind but one of them can’t pay for his transfer.

Real Madrid or FC Barcelona would be great destinations for him to keep growing as a player. Yesterday, the youngster had a few encounters with the press and he gave a major nugget during one of them. As he got off the bus to board the plane to Germany, he clearly stated to ‘El Chiringuito’: “I love Spain.” What does Haaland mean by that?
