Gary Lineker sure is enjoying Manchester City’s current season, especially after their latest match against a direct title contender. With a dominating 3-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur. The Citizens remain strong at the top of the table and seem well on their way to a fifth Premier League title in the last decade. Pep Guardiola has been part of these victories in two of the last four titles. The man seems destined to get his third in one of the most competitive leagues in the world.
However, this season is hitting Gary Lineker differently. A treble-winning season doesn’t happen often in European football but it’s become a modern trend over the last decade. We’ve seen Inter Milan, FC Barcelona (twice), and Bayern Munich (twice) conquer this feat. However, only Manchester United did this from all the English sides. For Gary Lineker, it appears this Manchester City side might have a shot at conquering another treble.

This is what he wrote: “There is a possibility that Manchester City could win everything this season. So good.”
Although the season is still a long way to finish, everyone considers Man City as the Premier League winners. They still are very much alive in the Carabao Cup, the FA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League. We’ll see how much momentum the Citizens can get from now until the end of the season. However, they sure seem quite unbeatable right now.
