Lovren makes prediction on Salah future at Liverpool

The Egyptian earlier left the door open for a departure from Anfield by refusing to rule out a possible move to Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Mohamed Salah could stay at Liverpool for “another four, five or six years”, according to Dejan Lovren who says he still keeps in contact with his former teammate.

A slight uncertainty has been surrounding Salah’s future lately amid the slip in standards by Liverpool and their title defense hopes diminishing with each passing week.

Bayern Munich became the latest side to be linked with him after Karl-Heinz Rummenigge comments that it would be an ‘honor’ to have the 28-year-old forward at the club.

Back in December, the Egypt international himself admitted that he was unsure about his future at Merseyside.

A former teammate of his, however, has quashed the transfer rumors by claiming that Salah is committed to Liverpool.

Lovren told talkSPORT: “I’m still in communication with Mo Salah. We are best buddies. We talk about everything.

“Mo is committed, not just for Liverpool but for all the fans and for himself.

“He is the biggest critic of himself when he doesn’t do well. I’m not surprised he is doing well individually, when you look at how many goals he has scored, he is amazing at the moment.

“There needs to be love from both ways (both Salah and Liverpool), I see now that they have it, so why not [stay]?

“Mo is in the best age of his football career at 28 – maybe he looks a little bit older – but he is in the peak of his form. Why not stay another four, five or six years?”
