During the same interview with France Football, PSG’s Leonardo revealed one of his biggest transfer plans for the upcoming summer window.

PSG may have a massive transfer plan for next summer that Leonardo just revealed during an interview with France Football. The French club’s sporting director didn’t hide from the fact that his club is willing to go to extreme lengths in order to sign Lionel Messi. After yesterday’s loss in the Spanish Supercup, we can add one more painful defeat to the long list on Messi’s record.

Recently, FC Barcelona has gone through a crisis that is difficult to prevent in spite of Messi’s efforts to do so. This recent poor form is one of the most detrimental aspects for Barcelona’s plans to keep Leo at the club. With at least two options on his horizon, one of the clubs that remain in contact with the player’s representatives is Paris Saint-Germain. But there was no real confirmation about this, until today.

Leonardo confirms PSG’s wishes to sign Messi.

In previous weeks, we saw how Jorge Messi denied claims that he was talking to other clubs about his son’s future. However, today’s revelation puts everything in perspective and leaves the door open for an exit. Leonardo spoke to France Football about many topics, but Leo’s future had to come up.

“Great players like Messi will always be on PSG’s shortlist, but now isn’t the time to talk or dream about this,” said Leonardo. “We are sitting at the table following this matter closely. Four months in football is an eternity, especially in this day and age, but our chair is reserved at the table.”

Even though anything can still happen, we hadn’t heard anything as direct as this from PSG about the Messi case. It’s possible that yesterday’s defeat in the Spanish Supercup helped Leonardo get more confident while talking about this touchy subject.
