US legend makes a bold Pulisic claim against Chelsea

A bold claim has been made against Chelsea by Lalas, who believes Pulisic’s talents are being wasted at Stamford Bridge.

Christian Pulisic is ‘too good for this Chelsea team’ and is being wasted right now, says former USA international Alexi Lalas.

The 22-year-old has made just 13 appearances in all competitions, including 10 in the Premier League. His lack of game time has mostly been down to injury and a positive COVID-19 test. When fully fit, however, he has shown flashes of promise.

Pulisic has even made the starting line-up in all of the Blues’ last five league games against Wolves, West Ham, Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Manchester City.

But a poor run of form, along with an inability to extract the best out of all their summer signings, has left Lalas unimpressed.

“This is Chelsea with all the talent they have and all the money they have spent,” said the former LA Galaxy defender on his State of the Union podcast.

“I’ll say it right now, Christian Pulisic is too good for this Chelsea team.

“His talents are being wasted right now at Chelsea, with this Chelsea team that they have.”
