The former Croatia manager is already back in the dugout less than a month following his dismissal at West Brom.
Slaven Bilic has become the new manager of Chinese club Beijing Guoan. The appointment came just over three weeks after West Brom sacked him following a poor start to the season.
The 52-year-old has signed up on a contract with Beijing Guoan until 2023. He replaces former Lyon manager Bruno Genesio, who wasn’t offered an extension, in the dugout for the Chinese Super League side.

“We are honored to announce a 2-year contract with our new first-team coach Mr. Slaven Bilic and coach team, welcome to Beijing,” read a club statement.
“We would like to welcome Slaven Bilic to Beijing Sinobo Guoan Football Club and hope that he will give his full experience and coaching skills and lead the team to achieve good results in the new season.”
The former Croatia and West Ham boss had been in charge of West Brom since July 2019. He led the club to promotion to the Premier League last season, courtesy of a second-place finish in the Championship behind Leeds United.
But a poor return to the English top-flight left West Brom struggling for survival in the bottom half of the standings. With only a single victory in 13 games (D4 L8), the board replaced Bilic with Sam Allardyce on December 16.
Bilic is set to make his CSL debut in the spring once the new season commences.
