The Dutchman was brought as Barca needed a transformation after their trophy-less seasons but he has struggled unable to steady the ship.
FC Barcelona interim president Carles Tusquets makes is clear that he will make no hasty decisions regarding the future of head coach Ronald Koeman.
The Catalan giants dropped point for the ninth time in La Liga this season following the 2-2 draw against Valencia on Saturday.
Early signs indicate that Barca, who were unable to stop Real Madrid from clinching the league crown last season, are still not ready to compete for the title.
Just 12 games in and they are already four points behind arch-rivals Real Madrid and eight behind leaders Atletico Madrid.
Koeman, however, who seems committed to making use of youth talent, has despite the growing pressure on him, has the full backing of the man temporarily in charge of the club’s boardroom.
Tusquets told Mundo Deportivo: “I will not fire anyone, at all. [Ronald] Koeman is doing well, he has great criteria, he bets on the youth system and young players. He absolutely has my support and he will always have it.
“I’ve eaten with him recently and I found him to be optimistic.”
