The Tottenham boss slammed the behavior of his fellow Premier League managers on the touchline while insisting he is ‘a great example’.

Jose Mourinho cannot comprehend how his fellow Premier League managers go unpunished for their touchline behaviour, especially as he was often punished for inappropriate behavior in the past.

The former Chelsea and Manchester United boss has found himself on the wrong side of the Football Association’s wrath frequently in the past for various reasons, which have resulted in touchline bans.

Mourinho had another heated encounter with Jurgen Klopp at the end of Tottenham’s 2-1 loss to Liverpool last week. He even remarked later how he would’ve been sent off had he behaved the same way as Klopp.

Another old rival in Pep Guardiola, meanwhile, escaped trial after seemingly attempting to take the fourth official’s electronic board towards the end of Manchester City’s 1-1 draw against West Brom last week.

“I was for many years a good example of bad behavior on the touchline, and I was always punished for it,” Mourinho told Sky Sports.

“At this moment, I honestly consider myself – and I believe the referees feel the same – a great example of good behavior on the touchline, but I see others doing incredible things, some of them going in a direction I would never go, and nothing happens.

“This I can speak about, because I live it. I live day-by-day [on] the touchline.”

When questioned on how Klopp and Guardiola escape punishment, Mourinho replied: “Probably because we don’t say anything.”
