The Toffees were still going to attempt an advantage before half time as they did through Yerry Mina. A potent header from the Colombian defender was enough for the locals to get the three points this evening.

For the second half, we could see an Everton side with Italian roots due to Ancelotti’s seal that never disappoints. Mikel Arteta was completely outplayed by the veteran Italian manager during the second 45 minutes of this match. With this win, Ancelotti confirms he has a competitive side that can even dream of trying to compete for trophies this season.
Although winning any silverware won’t be easy, we have to note they have done a fantastic job without the need of James Rodriguez. The Colombian playmaker is going through a tough time with injuries this season but he will be a major upgrade when he returns to activity. For now, the Toffees can rest easy in second place in the Premier League table.
