Marcus Rashford paid his respects to the all-time great footballer Diego Maradona who passed away at the age of 60.
It is a very sad day for the world of football as the beloved Diego Maradona passed away in Argentina. Social media has been flooded with tributes to the legendary footballer, who died at the age of 60. Maradona suffered from a cardiac arrest earlier on Wednesday, following his brain surgery last month. And just after two weeks after leaving the hospital, he had a heart attack at his house in Argentina. Without a doubt, Maradona is regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time. Also, he has influenced the likes of many top professionals in the world of this beautiful sport.
As the world mourns Maradona’s death, the Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford paid his due respects through social media. The Red Devils frontman immediately posted an Instagram story with a picture of Diego, along with just one word – “legendary”. Moreover, Rashford further went on to deliver his message on Twitter with a similar post. It has been a tough time for the former Napoli and Barcelona icon, who led Argentina to win the World Cup in 1986.
