It’s time to take a closer look at the player ratings of another historic El Clasico between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid at Camp Nou.

It was El Clasico night between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid at Camp Nou Stadium. The Barça fans were extremely confident about their chances to win this game by looking at Los Blancos’ most recent results. But Zinedine Zidane always has an ace up his sleeve, he would obviously give us a competitive evening against the fiercest rival.

Everything started in an explosive manner, Karim Benzema assisted Fede Valverde early in the game for the match opener. The Uruguay international took a crossed shot in which Neto had nothing to do, but this motivated FC Barcelona. Messi fixed the issue quickly after the first goal.

The captain passed the ball to Jordi Alba as he ran through the left flank with a great advantage. Ansu Fati was there to tap the ball inside and keep making history as a teenager. The first half was much more balanced than the first, we enjoyed a fairly entertaining show.

Real Madrid owns the second half.

Contrary to the first-half heroics from both sides, Real Madrid dominated the game during the second half. Despite Barcelona’s attempts, fortune was on Los Blancos’ side at Camp Nou today. The key moment came during a set-piece in Real Madrid’s favor where a penalty was awarded for the visiting side.

VAR had to step in to make the call after Lenglet committed a foul on Sergio Ramos. The Real Madrid captain scored the penalty and gave Los Blancos the advantage. Ronald Koeman took too long to make substitutions, he did it with a little over 10 minutes left on the clock. It was too late for the Blaugrana to respond.

To add insult to injury during an already terrible evening. Luka Modric scored a third Real Madrid goal in a counter-attack after a terrible collective defensive mistake. A well-deserved victory for Real Madrid that gives Zidane a massive lifeline.
