Jose Mourinho is keen on taking the reins of a national team in the future, though he seems reluctant to manage his native Portugal.

Regarded as one of the best managers of this era, Jose Mourinho has won all there is to win at club level, and then some.

Two Champions League, eight different league titles, FIFA World Coach of the Year, UEFA Manager of the Year (x2), Serie A Manager of the Year (x2), Premier League Manager of the Season (x3) is just a glimpse into his glittering managerial resume.

The 57-year old has been able to bring success to each of the five clubs – Porto, Cheslea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Manchester United – he has coached in the past.

Currently plying his trade in Tottenham, he has been tasked to end the club’s 12-year-long trophy drought.

The Portuguese tactician is in no hurry to end his tenure at Spurs or as a club manager in general, but he does find the prospect of taking over an international team alluring.

“Yes, I want to coach a national team,” said Mourinho, as per beIN SPORTS. “I want to have the experience of a World Cup and European Championship, the emotion of the short competition.

“Is Portugal the one I want do do? On one side yes as it is my heart. But it is very difficult to do it with the country you were born in.”
