Manchester United overcame the odds but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants them to improve on their heroics in the coming season.

At one stage of the Premier League season, Manchester United were 14-points behind third place. They managed a remarkable turnaround and finished third as the 2019/20 Premier League campaign came to an end.

In addition to their heroics in English top-flight football, they also made it to three cup semi-finals. Their most recent heartbreak at the hands of Sevilla ended their long and arduous journey of 2019/20.

David de Gea was pleased with the efforts in the season. However, the Spanish goalkeeper wants them to work hard and improve on their feats.

It is a sentiment shared by his manager. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praised his players for their efforts.

But Solskjaer believes that is in the past now and they should get ready to improve for the upcoming season.

“Keep improving, keep doing what they’ve done every single day,” TalkSPORT quoted Solskjaer.

“They worked so hard, right attitude, mentality. We need to strengthen the squad depth, of course, because it’s going to be a long season. It’s only going to be a couple weeks rest until we get going again.”

“Dust this down, make sure that we’re ready and fresh to go.”

“Many, many different things but keep on improving what we’re doing day in and day out and believe in what we’re doing.”

The job is not finished and the Norwegian is not letting the positive vibes fade away.
