Pep Guardiola is wholeheartedly committed to Manchester City and will stay at the club the next season, says Josep Maria Orobitg.
A disastrous 2019/20 season for Manchester City has put manager Pep Guardiola under severe scrutiny.
Man City endured yet another disappointing Champions League campaign, crashing out at the quarter-final stage at the hands of underdogs Olympique Lyon.
They also have little to show for domestically, having lost the Premier League title to Liverpool with an enormous 18-point margin while also unable to overcome Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-finals.
Elsewhere, FC Barcelona are reportedly in search of a new manager. Barca, too, encountered failure in the La Liga title race while also got kicked out of the Champions League following an embarrassing 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich. As a result, they now plan on sacking Quique Setien and are lining up options to replace him.
Guardiola is rumored to be in Barca’s wishlist. The Catalans have sweet memories of his time at Camp Nou and are eager to bring him back.
It seems, however, that the rumors hold no truth in them.
“Yes, Pep will stay at City 100 per cent,” said the Spaniard’s agent, speaking to Goal.
Josep Maria Orobitg also went on to claim that it is currently ‘impossible’ for his agent to return to his roots.
