Lukas Podolski believes Kai Havertz is still missing one key ingredient to make it in the Premier League.

Kai Havertz has been linked with a move to the Premier League. Rumor has it a deal with Chelsea is imminent.

His compatriot and a man who knows all about making the switch from the Bundesliga to the Premier League is Lukas Podolski.

Podolski played for Arsenal and enjoyed relative success in North London. He bagged an FA Cup winners medal as well as a Charity Shield success.

He is full of praise for the youngster and likes the idea of him trying his luck in England. However, he also feels that he is not quite the finished product and from his own experience can see what needs improvement.

Speaking to The Athletic, he said:

“He’s a great talent. On the ball he is so creative, but he’s still young, let’s see if he can fit into the Premier League.”

“I think he is still missing some strength and power, but he should taste the drink of the Premier League and see if he likes it.”

“I did, but I knew I would like it. I’m strong, I have a good shot, I’m from the street, I’m like a pitbull. I knew I could deal with the Premier League with the long balls, the physical side, and the referees. It was perfect for me and we had a good team and atmosphere at Arsenal.”

Looks like it’s not matter of if, but when he makes the move.
