AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has responded to the NBA superstar LeBron James’ condemnation of his political views.

The two sporting icons have been exchanging words in the media across the past week after Zlatan suggested LeBron had taken advantage of his status as a famous athlete to influence non-sporting issues.
LeBron didn’t take kindly to Zlatan’s views. The basketball player, who plays for LA Lakers in the United States, defending his activism, accused the Swede of hypocrisy, and warned him that he is the ‘wrong guy to go at’.
“Racism and politics are two different things,” said Zlatan at the San Remo 2021 festival on Tuesday as quoted by Goal. “We athletes unite the world, politics divides the world.
“Everyone is welcome, it has nothing to do with where you are from, we do what we do to unite. We don’t do other things because we are not good at it, otherwise I would be in politics.
“That’s my message. Athletes must be athletes, politicians must be politicians.”
LeBron responded after Zlatan Ibrahimovic criticized him for his activism.
