During an interview with BBC, Zlatan Ibrahimovic offered his opinion about Jose Mourinho’s current job as Tottenham Hotspur’s manager.
Jose Mourinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have a beautiful history working together as player and manager over the years. They first met when Ibra was still playing for Internazionale Milano during the late ‘2000s but they vowed to work together again. This didn’t happen until 2016 when Mourinho signed Zlatan from PSG.
As a result of their partnership, the Swedish striker helped United win two titles that included the UEFA Europa League. This is the only European trophy Zlatan Ibrahimovic ever won. It’s safe to say that Ibra has a good opinion on Jose Mourinho due to their prolific past. When anybody asks him about the current state of Tottenham Hotspur thanks to the gaffer’s job, Ibra obviously thinks a certain way.
Zlatan has nothing but respect for Jose Mourinho.
Given that the Spurs are currently fighting to win the title in the Premier League with a solid squad, Zlatan wanted to praise his work. At an interview on BBC Radio Five Live, he revealed what he thinks about Jose’s work at the Spurs.
“Mourinho is doing his job, he’s proved and has proven that he is a top coach, one of the best, so he is just continuing to do what he’s doing, so it’s not a surprise. The only thing he’s doing is doing it with a different club now, so I know who Mourinho is as a person and a coach and the philosophy that he brings out is a successful recipe. He’s just continuing to do things he was doing before.”
