The head coach made a bold accusation in the build-up to a CHAN match between Zimbabwe and Cameroon.
Zimbabwe manager Zdravko Logarusic found a dead bat on the pitch before his side faced Cameroon in Yaounde on Saturday and accused the hosts of using ‘witchcraft’ by placing it there.
The 55-year-old Croatian posed for a photograph of himself kneeling next to the bat at the halfway line with the message: “Witchcraft in Cameroon”.
Zimbabwe national team coach Zdravko Logarusic has accused the Cameroon national side of witchcraft, after a dead bat was found on the pitch during their 1-0 loss to Cameroon yesterday.
Definitely the only logical explanation… 😂

Intentional or not, however, Zimbabwe still lost the match 1-0. Salomon Banga bagged a match-winner for Cameroon in the 72nd-minute to seal the hosts a winning start in the African Nations Championship.
Despite the drama Logarusic stirred up before the game, he still congratulated Cameroon for their victory.
“Cameroon and their coach are to be congratulated for the match achieved tonight at the start of the competition,” said the Zimbabwe boss on the CAF website.
“We played against a good team, which will certainly have a say in this CHAN.
“This is not the end of the world. We will play two more games and we have every chance of securing a place in the quarterfinals. It’s up to us to study our mistakes and correct them before our next meeting against Burkina Faso.”
