Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane looks back at the concluded season and hails his La Liga triumph as one of his best achievements ever.

It wasn’t looking like it but Zidane watched on as Real Madrid stole La Liga from rivals Barcelona.

At a point in the season, it was all but looking like the Catalan side would win it. A slip in form saw their fortunes take a negative twist.

Post lockdown, Zidane must have worked his magic on Real Madrid. Los Blancos came out firing on all cylinders. They worn all of their games and went on to lift their 34th domestic crown.

Looking back at how it all happened, the 48-year-old hails it as one of his biggest achievements in his managerial career.

“In the end, having been able to finish LaLiga, having played it and finally won it, has been a great satisfaction and a great joy,” Zidane said as quoted by Marca.

“I could say that the day we won it was almost one of the happiest days of my life.”

Being a Frenchman, it was only normal to see Zidane go patriotic. The Real Madrid boss was pleased to see two French sides go far in the Champions League.

“For PSG it is already an exceptional course and for Lyon, which is the first time they are in the semi-finals, it is formidable,” he added.

“It is great for French clubs.

“There is a little bad talk about the Ligue 1.

“I say it is a great league, a difficult championship and seeing two French clubs go so far in the Champions League is good.”
