Zinedine Zidane says Toni Kroos has lots of respect and admiration from himself and the rest of the Real Madrid players.

Toni Kroos is about one of the most reserved players in the Los Blancos lineup.

Not one to overly shout or bark at teammates but his quality speaks volumes wherever he is.

On his day, Kroos is easily one of the best in his position, if not the best.

For a player with his quality, the German midfielder still remains as humble as ever.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane says this trait has earned Kroos much respect from everyone at the club.

However, the Los Blancos boss says the 30-year-old only speaks when he has to.

“Toni doesn’t speak much,” Zidane told Real France.

“He is a quiet, reserved boy, but when he speaks it is because he has to.

“He speaks to anyone: coach, directors or colleagues and doesn’t stop.

“I have seen many discussions in which his participation has ended up being key.”

Zidane also spoke on Kroos’ skills and detailed on his versatility as a midfielder.

“Kroos is such a good player that he can play as a No.6, as a pure midfielder or as a No.10,” Zidane added.

“His main virtue is his serenity. He never gets nervous.

“I find it amazing how easily he plays with both feet. I might think he’s left-footed.

“His whole life is football and family. The rest does not matter.

“He will be remembered as a spectacular player, one of the best in the world in his position.

Zidane has coached a number of top names since he was appointed Real Madrid manager. The Frenchman puts Kroos among the best of the best he’s had the pleasure of working with.

“When I arrived [at Real Madrid] I was happy to be able to coach Kroos.”

“Of course, I can say that I coached [Sergio] Ramos, Cristiano [Ronaldo] and [Gareth] Bale and also Toni Kroos.”
