With Real Madrid almost out of contention for domestic honors this season, Zidane’s future has been called into question.
Zinedine Zidane insists he still feels supported by the Real Madrid board and that his focus is solely on the immediate future.
An early Copa del Rey exit, a lackluster defense to the club’s La Liga title, and the recent Spanish Super Cup defeat, has left Zidane in the spotlight. Only Champions League success can reportedly guarantee his job next season.
But the Frenchman, who is under contract with Los Blancos until 2022, insists his focus lies on the present.
🎙| Zidane: “Why am I going to leave if I do what I love? There are bad times, of course, it's the life of a human. At Madrid we know that it is a great club and that what we have to do is compete. And here there will always be changes.” #rmalive

“We’re on the same boat and I feel supported, maybe people think I say it because I have to say it, but no,” said Zidane in a pre-match conference ahead of Real Madrid’s trip to local rivals Getafe on Tuesday.
“I know what I have to do, you have to accept when things are difficult. When things are complicated, you have to turn the situation around.
“I know that I have a great team, nothing will stop us working hard.”
Real Madrid currently lie seven points behind table-toppers Atletico Madrid in third place in the La Liga table. They have, however, played two more games than their city rivals at the moment.
