The newly-signed Tottenham star has been under investigation since October 6.
Yves Bissouma is clear of sexual assault allegations, according to a new update from the Sussex Police.
Police arrested the Tottenham star and another man in the early hours of October 6 last year. They took action after an incident at a Brighton nightclub.
The Mali star remained under investigation but attended the Africa Cup of Nations tournament after amending bail conditions.
Bissouma left Brighton to join Tottenham on a £25million deal earlier this month. The Spurs star is now clear of sexual assault allegation after receiving a new update from the Sussex Police.
Speaking to the Sportsmail, a spokesperson for the police department said: “A man in his 40s from Brighton who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault has had his conditional bail extended until July 4, 2022.
“A man in his 20s, also from Brighton, who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault has been released with no further action to be taken.
“The investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available at this time.”
Bissouma started his Premier League career after joining Brighton from Lille in 2018. The Mali international went on to establish himself among the most promising young midfielders in the English top-flight.
Let’s see if he can get a regular spot in Antonio Conte’s lineup next season.
