The 16-year-old striker has established himself as a starter at Dortmund this season.

An exciting competition to sign Youssofa Moukoko is taking shape, with elite clubs from England and Spain already planning to prize him away from Borussia Dortmund.

Moukoko became the youngest player in Bundesliga history when he featured for Dortmund a day after his 16th birthday in November 2020.

He replaced Erling Haaland, whose career path might tempt Moukoko to join an elite side as soon as he feels ready.

Last season, Moukoko mostly played as a substitute while Dortmund were struggling for consistency under Marco Rose.

However, the German striker has started the new season on a different note. Having established himself as a regular starter under Edin Terzic, Moukoko has now attracted interest from a host of clubs from abroad.

According to SPORT, Barcelona have joined Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain, who’ve already shown interest in signing the striker.

Moukoko has registered three goals and four assists in his 15 appearances across all competitions this season.

Terzic rotated him with Anthony Modeste at the start of the campaign. But Moukoko’s recent displays have been convincing enough to secure him a starting spot at Signal Iduna Park.

Dortmund, however, have only a few months to tie the striker to a new deal.

Widespread reports in German media claim Moukoko’s contract will expire in June, meaning clubs could push to sign him for free next summer.

At the moment, Liverpool seem to be leading the race for Moukoko. Jurgen Klopp’s connections at Dortmund are reportedly playing a key role in paving the way for the striker’s move to Anfield.
