Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has commented on his side’s chances of securing European football next season.

Granit Xhaka is the latest Arsenal star to be optimistic about the club’s chances of a strong finish this season.

After a woeful run of results, the Gunners have slowly started to put together a number of positive outings.

That has led the likes of David Luiz and Mohamed Elneny to believe Arsenal can still even make the top-four this season.

Following Sunday’s remarkable comeback against West Ham to draw 3-3, the Gunners are sitting in tenth spot, seven points behind the Hammers in 5th place.

With the Carabao Cup and FA Cup likely to be among the top-four, a seventh-place finish could be enough to see Arsenal qualify for Europe next season.

Elsewhere, the Gunners still have a chance at Champions League football should they go on to win the Europa League.

Granit Xhaka says Arsenal are ready to take their chances and finish the season strongly on all fronts.

“In the league, we are back within reach of the European places and now we need a run to make it in there. In the Europa League it would be absolutely important to get to the final,” the Switzerland international told Blick.

“So far it has been an up and down season. We got off to a good start at the beginning, then didn’t score in a number of games, but now things are going much better again.”
