Granit Xhaka has heaped praise on Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes for the quality and mentality they have brought to the Arsenal lineup.

Granit Xhaka is pleased with the impact of Brazilian duo Willian and Gabriel at Arsenal so far.

Willian joined the Gunners on a free transfer from London rivals Chelsea in the summer.

Magalhaes, meanwhile, completed a £23million move to the Emirates from Lille.

Both players have enjoyed promising starts to their Arsenal careers, helping the Gunners win their first three games of the 2020-21 season.

Looking at their transition so far, Xhaka is pleased with what he has seen from teammates Willian and Gabriel.

“With Willian and Gabriel, Arsenal brought a lot of quality and mentality into the dressing room,” Xhaka told the Swiss Telegraphic Agency as quoted by Metro.

“Willian knows how to win titles. And the extension with [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang was an important signal for all of us – we want to go back to the Champions League.”

Xhaka saw a late turnaround from losing the Arsenal captaincy under Unai Emery to winning back the confidence of the fans. The Swiss international thanked new boss Mikel Arteta for helping him get back to his best on the pitch.

“One thing is certain, I wouldn’t be in London without him. He was the decisive factor, with his philosophy, with his style, with his idea. I am really grateful to him for that.”
